SACE maths choices in Adelaide
- To meet the SACE numeracy requirement, students need 10 credits of maths with a C grade or better at Stage 1, or a C- or better at Stage 2.
- The Stage 2 maths subjects, each worth 20 credits, are Essential Mathematics, General Mathematics, Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics. Specialist Mathematics is designed to be studied together with Mathematical Methods.
- NAPLAN numeracy is held in March for Years 3, 5, 7 and 9. The 2027 window is 10 to 22 March.
A tutor can make sure the Stage 1 numeracy credits are secure, then work through Mathematical Methods and Specialist topics alongside school, or build Year 7 to 9 skills before NAPLAN.
