- Worth knowing in California

San Diego Unified is the second-largest school district in California.

Integrated Math I to III and CAASPP math in San Diego Unified
- San Diego Unified students need three years of high school math to graduate: Integrated Math I, II and III, each offered at a regular or advanced level.
- A statistics course does not count in place of Integrated Math III. The third year can also be met through a San Diego Community College District course sequence.
- Students who complete Integrated Math in middle school with a C or higher continue the Integrated Math sequence when they start high school.
- Students in grades 3 to 8 and grade 11 take the Smarter Balanced math test on computer each spring, with an adaptive section and a performance task.
Integrated Math mixes algebra, geometry and statistics within each year, so a tutor can follow your child's course unit by unit and close gaps before the next unit builds on them. Sessions can also practise the multi-step problems the state test's performance task uses.
