NJSLA-A math, Edison's three-year math sequence and the NJGPA-A

  • Edison students in grades 3 to 8 take New Jersey's NJSLA-A math test from April 19 to May 21, 2027. High schoolers take the Algebra I, Geometry or Algebra II test as needed for accountability, and a fall block for grades 9 to 12 math runs November 30 to December 16, 2026.
  • Edison's Board of Education requires 130 credits to graduate, above the state minimum of 120, including three years (15 credits) of math in the sequence Algebra 1, Geometry, then Algebra 2. Students who take Algebra 1 or Geometry in Edison's middle schools must still take three years of math in high school.
  • Edison juniors take the NJGPA-A, which covers Algebra I and Geometry, from March 1 to 19, 2027. For seniors in the Class of 2027, a score of 450 is graduation ready, and those who fell short can retest or use a substitute test, such as an SAT Math section score of 440 or ACT Math score of 17.

A one-to-one online tutor can prepare students for NJSLA-A, support Edison's Algebra 1, Geometry and Algebra 2 sequence at any level, and practice the Algebra I and Geometry skills the NJGPA-A checks.
