How it works, in short
TaleemSquare grammar tutoring teaches children to write clear, correct sentences in live, one-to-one lessons. Tutors cover parts of speech, sentence types, punctuation, verb tenses, subject-verb agreement and common errors, always practised in your child's own writing rather than only in worksheets.
Lessons suit Grades 2-12, including the UK Key Stage 2 grammar test and academic writing. Plans start at $85 a month after a free assessment.

Simple, compound and complex sentences, clauses, and fixing run-ons and fragments.
Punctuation
Commas, apostrophes, speech marks, colons and semicolons.
Verb tenses and agreement
Consistent tenses and subject-verb agreement in longer sentences.
Pronouns and modifiers
Clear pronoun reference and avoiding misplaced modifiers.
Grammar for tests
Key Stage 2 GPS, NAPLAN conventions and SAT Standard English conventions questions.
Signs your child could use help
- Writes very long sentences with no punctuation
- Mixes up its and it's, or your and you're
- Tenses change in the middle of a story
- Teacher comments focus on grammar
- Grammar test or SPaG paper coming up
- Writing reads awkwardly even with good ideas
One of these on its own is normal. Two or three together usually point to a specific gap, and finding it is what the free assessment is for.

How we teach grammar
Grammar in real writing
Each rule is practised by improving your child's own sentences, which is how grammar transfers.
Why before rules
Children learn what punctuation does for the reader, which makes rules easier to apply.
One focus at a time
Lessons tackle one common error at a time until it disappears from your child's writing.
Test formats when needed
For grammar tests, tutors practise the exact question formats.
After each class you get a WhatsApp note: what was read, what clicked, and one thing to practise at home.

Common worries, honest answers
“Grammar worksheets haven't helped.”
Worksheets practise rules in isolation. Tutors work on your child's own writing, which is where grammar actually needs to improve.
“My child's ideas are great but the writing is messy.”
That is a good starting point. Grammar lessons help those ideas come across clearly.
“Is grammar still important with spell-check?”
Grammar checkers miss many errors and can suggest wrong fixes. Understanding grammar lets your child write clearly and judge suggestions.
